LSoM x Adam Nathaniel Furman: A Thousand Streams

A collaboration with designer, artist and author Adam Nathaniel Furman.

The project started in 2020 with Network Rail giving us permission to decorate a wall at London Bridge Station’s bus terminal. We started community engagement and fabrication work on the project in 2022, and the 57m long mosaic is due for completion in 2024.

We wanted to use the project to platform mosaic as a medium at home in the gateway to London, where many pieces make up the whole. Immediately recognising Furman’s investment in the community power of the decorative, we commissioned Adam to design the mosaic.

The project is funded by Southwark Council, National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England.
